Heidi and Dan met in Chicago, shortly after Heidi moved to the city to pursue her career in toxicology. After dating for only 1 year, Dan proposed to Heidi and they were married about a year after. Heidi, originally from Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Dan, a Chicago native, wanted to embrace the beauty of the city they love. Chicago was significant to the couple, so naturally they decided to incorporate it into their big day. Dan and Heidi were married at the historic Congress Plaza Hotel (built for the 1893 World’s Fair) on south Michigan Ave. The ceremony and reception were both held at the hotel’s elegant Gold and Florentine ballrooms, and pre-ceremony pictures were taken at various Michigan Avenue landmarks including the Art Institute and Grant Park.
Thanks to all the amazing vendors who made their day so perfect.
